Time with God

July 7th, 2009

I’m a prayer popper.  I pray off and on during the day, all day long.  Lots of little prayer tweets to God.

Sitting still is not easy for me.  But when I doodle with prayer as my intention, I can sit down and create some quiet time.  I get still and attentive on the inside.  My body is happy; my mind focuses.  It sounds kind of silly and childlike, but this is what works for me.  So here is a prayer I drew with no agenda.  I just wanted to sit in God’s presence and spend time with the One who created me and loves me.

    Sybil,

I find myself doodling all the time in meetings … this is an other example of another way to pray. Itoo pray in bits and bursts…. traffic lights and long check out lines but appreciate your sharing…

    Thanks
